This London based startup has an unique idea that if it succeeds everyone will be saying ‘Why didn’t I think of that’. The want to eliminate the inner city gas station by delivering the fuel directly to the vehicle. They have already secured $2.5 million in seed money.

Funding comes from Robin and Saul Klein’s LocalGlobe, Brent Hoberman’s Firstminute Capital and Alex Chesterman the founder of Zoopla.

Zebra Fuel was founded in 2016 by Reda Bennis and Romain Saint Guihem. The created an app for users to schedule an appointment for a refueling. At this point, the company offers only diesel and services the inner city of London. They plan on expanding to other European cities.

They lay out several reasons that their service is economical to the user. Pointing out that they source their supply from the same wholesale supplier as the leading gas stations so they can compete with their prices. They bring out that the vehicle owner uses up fuel driving to the station as well as waiting in line for an available pump. The don’t have the expense of owning or leasing property so the have lower overhead which reflect in the price they can charge.

Their business mission seem viable but the question is will the average driver agree.
