That first steamy sip of coffee is eye opening. But after 10 or so minutes, the coffee has turned tepid. I enjoy my morning brew to be steaming hot but not scalding hot.
I’ve tried thermo cups and they work pretty well but they are somewhat clunky. I have also tried battery and plug in coasters (like mini hotplates) and they good for a few months and then they start losing their heating ability. Probably because I’m always spilling liquid on them.
I came across this ceramic mug that maintains the temperature of the coffee until I get down to the last gulp. It is good at keeping the coffee steaming without scalding and the ceramic cup helps to keep the cup from getting to hot to handle. The only fault is that the cup only holds 12 ounces.
