1 cup panko-style breadcrumbs
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1 cup melted butter
3 large chicken breasts, halved (about 2 pounds)
1/2 white wine or apple juice
1/4 chopped green onion or parsley garnish
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Combine bread crumbs, cheese, garlic powder and thyme.
Thoroughly coat chicken in melted butter.
Sprinkle crumb mixture over chicken.
Bake for 50 minutes.
Pour white wine or apple juice over chicken and bake another 5 minutes.
Garnish with green onions or parsley.
I have heard of chicken Kiev but I have never tried it. I found this recipe in the Phoenix paper so I figured it’s time to give it try. I am off to the store to get the needed ingredients and I plan on making this for dinner. I hope I can make it taste as good as it looks.
